At last spring is waking up and the daffodils are bursting open to greet us with their sunny faces to the sky.
This month, to bring a touch of spring colourful loveliness indoors, I have created a pretty Cornish-ware jug of all my favourite blooms. The little budgie I also created certainly approves and I hope you do too?

This month will also see Mothering Sunday on 22nd March.
There is still plenty of time to order cards and gifts from my online shops.
Over at my Etsy , there are plenty of designs to choose from in the Mother's Day section.
What's more, I happily accept orders that need to be gift wrapped and sent direct to mums anywhere in the world...
To guarantee delivery by Mother's Day to overseas addresses (anywhere outside of the UK) orders will need to be placed by Weds 4th March
All UK orders have until Weds 18th March to ensure delivery by Mother's Day....
This spring is also the launch of a new collection of occasion cards,
mainly for female relatives, all of which are now available to order wholesale
but will also be coming soon to my Etsy shop to buy direct from me.
Instagram & Facebook followers would have seen some of these as work in progress earlier in the year, now I am delighted to show you the whole collection together.
There is a floral and fruity theme running throughout and all are very much inspired by summer in the South West of England....
One last thing...
As with the last couple of years, I aim to take part in March Meet The Maker over on Instagram this month as much as I can, and look forward to meeting new and familiar faces on that challenge!
I hope you all have a lovely March!
MARCH: A DAY TRIP TO SPRING FAIR INTERNATIONAL, MOTHER'S DAY & FREE DESKTOP WALLPAPER...
Spring has sprung upon us.
This month, my FREE desktop wallpaper for my email subscribers is channelling all the spring vibes. I saw a little blue tit perched at the top of the cherry tree in our garden this week. It was a beautiful blue sky day and the little bird was singing it's heart out.
As soon I saw it, I knew what this month's desktop wallpaper had to be!

The beginning of February I made a rare trip to Birmingham to visit Spring Fair International at the NEC. My friends at Art Eco Designs had a stall there this year, the first time in five years. As I mentioned in last month's blog, the end of last year and beginning of this has seen me working on lots of new occasion card designs for them to take along. With many of my new designs very hot off my desk at the end of January, it was well worth my long journey to Birmingham to catch a first glimpse of them all as sample stock being launched at Spring Fair.
It was wonderful to catch up with everyone on the stand and chat to the sales team about what's in demand from stockists - a very productive day indeed.
Best of all was being able take the opportunity to arrange to meet up with some of my artist friends who live in the midlands and north England. That was exactly what I needed, to be able to wander around with great friends who work in the same way (from home, around their families, creating and designing for licence). It was lovely to be able to celebrate seeing each other's work on stands, gather ideas for coming trends, colours and themes....
I always come away from events like this with my head buzzing with ideas, it can be very overwhelming. Thankfully, I am a few years in to my creative business and know that it's important to fill that notebook up straightaway and then put it to one side. There will be obvious things to prioritise and action straight away, and other things that would be great to re-visit. That's why I enjoy travelling to events like this by train as it gives me a few hours straight after the event to gather my thoughts and jot them all down on the journey home....
Now that we have reached March, that means that it will soon be Mother's Day
here in the UK.
The date to remember is Sunday 31st March this year.
Over at my Etsy and Folksy shops, I have a bright collection of floral and sweet Mother's Day cards and gift ideas. The images featured here include some new designs for this year...
I hope you have a lovely month.
Don't forget to look up to the branches of the trees,
you never know who you will see singing their song for spring
from behind the blossom!
