Hello, Happy June! I have something bright and cheerful to show you today. It's my new, celebratory, age is 'Just a Number' collection. This range of 10 colourful doodles and typography based designs are now available to retailers to order wholesale. For more information, please visit the wholesale section of this site. It was a lot of fun creating these as the brief gave me a chance to do something a little bit different from my usual illustrative style. It was also to create a collection that appeals to both men and women. Having the chance to simply play around with shapes, textures, pattern and type in a fresh and loose way was fantastic and has inspired me to do a bit more experimenting with my style and techniques... I hope you enjoyed having a first look through these new designs. I've also had a little bit of a website refresh and tidy up recently as I have lots more new designs brewing and wanted to ensure my website was ready for those designs to be uploaded soon. Of course this blog is where I will be showcasing them once they are done. Until then, have a lovely week! Best wishes Angie

Hello! Sorry for the radio silence, it's been a productive couple of weeks. The appearance of the sunshine and summer flowers in my garden has given me a little creative buzz of excitement, so I've been going with it whilst it's here and putting it to good use. Alongside a lovely stack of commission work, I've been working on a couple of new products for my Etsy & Folksy shops. Taking inspiration from the garden, for a while now I've been wanting to do a collection of field guide posters. I know its not a new concept...but as Frankie said, I wanted to do them 'My Way!' using every colour in the box and an abundance of beautiful flowers and creatures... I love those glorious Victorian & Edwardian seed packets with their indulgent botanical illustrations on the front, like this one: https://uk.pinterest.com/pin/49610033370346341/ That is what I had in my head when I set to work on my posters. My aim was a hybrid of classic field guide posters with a bit of those seed packet designs done in my natural hand/style.... |
