Merry Christmas! Thank you so much for all the continued support throughout 2016. This year has been a creative and productive year with lots of opportunity to work on new designs and learn new skills.... The Christmas tree is up, the presents are wrapped and the food shopping list is ready for a big stock up tomorrow, then we'll be set for this weekend's festivities. Once again, I feel very grateful as I look back over the past year, that I have been able to spend yet another 12 months doing what I love most for a job. A job that enables me to work around my children and shows them that it is possible, with a bit of effort and imagination, to do the things you enjoy most for a living. The trick is identifying what it is that you really love doing most of all.... At the moment for me, the thing I'm loving doing most of all is pattern work. I trained as a graphic designer and illustrator, so surface pattern and design for textiles is something that is very much a learning process for me. This year has enabled me to put in lots of practice and my confidence and love for pattern work is ever growing. It's the area I want to explore much more again next year. I am finding the Spoonflower community a very helpful resource for this, also Skillshare for help with techniques. We are so lucky to live in an age where there are all these communities available online to help us, wherever we may be in the world. To be able to learn and explore new skills at our own pace is an amazing gift. I find it all very exciting and hopeful and am looking forward to getting stuck in to more portfolio building next year.... I have some very big thank yous to make for all the support I have had throughout 2016.. Thank you to all my lovely clients and customers - those who have commissioned me on specific projects and those who have bought products from my online stores, I am very grateful to you for each and every order. I'd also like to say thank you to everyone who continues to support my social media efforts, especially those who have joined my mailing list - your support keeps me going. There are a number of fantastic people that I have worked very closely and regularly with this past year. After knowing me for a few years now, they continue to hire me for design work and help keep me away from the recruitment consultants! You know who you are - I am forever grateful to you, please know you are truly magnificent! I'm really looking forward to another year of fun and creativity - bring it on! Have a very Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year With thanks and best wishes Angie
