Hello, It seems I have fallen off the blogging wagon this month, I am sorry. I think it's because I dared to utter in my last post that I wanted to try to keep more regular updates (tut, tut! as Elvis would say 'a little less conversation, a little more action please!). Ah, but there has been plenty of action here. October has been filled with lots of interesting projects and commissions that has had me engrossed in creating. To me, that's the best sort of work, where you get so involved in the designing and making that you don't notice the passing of time. Unfortunately, I can't really show much of what I've been working on - it's all mostly art licensing & client work. The big development this month is that I am now signed with an art agent in the US. Alongside the work I continue to develop for art licensing here in the UK, I'm now enjoying exploring themes and designs that appeal to the US market too, specifically in the areas of surface pattern. I am delighted with this as that's been something I've been longing to do for a while... What I can show you is the inside of my 2017 wall calendar. It's all finished and now available from my Etsy and Folksy shops, packed with plenty of colourful wildlife themed illustrations throughout to make everyday bright and beautiful!... Also, a couple of weeks ago, I did another big product photoshoot session with my friends at our local PR agency, Porcupine PR. I had plenty of new stock that needed some fancy images for my online shop listings, so we rattled through my exhaustive list and got loads done... It was a great use of time as now I have a good stock of imagery to see me through the next months. I can thoroughly recommend working with a professional photographer to get the batch of decent product images you need - it certainly saves time faffing about and editing. What I think would have taken me about 2 -3 days on my own, took just over half a day (definitely worth the investment!)... Here are some of the results - these are new gift wraps that have now been added to my Etsy shop and will be added to my Folksy shop soon... Well that about 'wraps up' October (groan at the cheesy pun!). Half term is upon us and the main creative focus of the week is how to carve the pumpkins and what trick or treat costumes to help make for our girls.
Whatever you are doing this week, have a good one! Best wishes Angie
