Reasons to be Cheerful: Fruity Watercolouring...

Happy Friday!

This week I've been enjoying doing a spot of watercoloring.
I'm hoping to use these in a particular design, but also think they work well on their own.
Where ever these little paintings get used, for me it was time well spent as I loved every minute creating them, it was so relaxing and satisfying....

Once upon a time all my work was painted,  I studied my degree in illustration at a time when computers were in very limited supply at University and 'dot.com' was unheard of.  The focus those days was on drawing, composition and visual communication in it's purest form.   Many days were spent life drawing, and drawing on location to hone observational skills.  I feel those days were well spent as they gave me the lifelong skills to observe and create in my own way....  

I believe it's always a good idea to shut down the technology every now and then and enjoy the simple pleasures of getting messy and creating...

What ever you do this bank holiday weekend, I hope you find time to enjoy doing some of the things that make you happy too!
